Tax settings
How you keep your books, your tax office and the details every filing carries. The calculations and the files follow them.
Step by step
- Open “Settings” › “Taxes and accounting”.
- Under “How you keep your books”, choose “Flat tax”, “Flat-rate expenses”, “Tax records” or “Accounting”. With flat-rate expenses pick the share for your trade; with the flat tax also its band.
- As a VAT payer, choose the “VAT period”, monthly or quarterly.
- Under “Filing details”, pick the tax office and the regional office, search for your main activity by its CZ-NACE code, choose whether you file as a natural person or a company, and add your data box.
- Under “Books and locking”, pick your accounting program. Exports then preselect its format.
- If you live somewhere other than your registered address, tick “Use another address than the billing details” and fill in the address for tax returns. Choose “Save”.
- On the “Advances” tab, enter the social and health insurance and the income-tax advances you paid each month, and mark the months your business was a secondary activity.
- On the “Deductions and credits” tab, pick the tax year and enter donations, mortgage interest, pension and life insurance, tax credits and children. Choose “Save”.
Good to know
The Czech tax outputs and calculations serve accounts in the Czech Republic that keep their books in CZK.
Leaving a tab with unsaved changes asks whether to stay or to leave without saving.
