Price list and stock items
What you sell or buy, with its prices. A stock item also keeps its quantity in stock.
Step by step
- Open “Stock” and choose “New item”. The form starts as a price-list item with the VAT rate and the unit set under “Settings” › “Defaults”; a non-payer’s item starts at 0 %.
- Fill in the name, the kind (“Goods” or “Service”), the unit, the “Sale price” without VAT and the VAT rate. “Add a currency” adds a price in another currency; the “Purchase price” serves expenses.
- Under “Suggest in”, choose whether the item is offered in invoices, in expenses, or in both.
- For a stock item, switch on “Track quantity”. Fill in the SKU a stock item needs, the opening “Quantity in stock”, the “Minimum” and the “Maximum”. “Allow below zero” lets you move out more than there is.
- Optionally choose the “Article number type” (EAN, IAN or ISBN) and fill in the “Article number”. A barcode scanner finds the item by its EAN.
- Choose “Save”. The list shows a stock item’s quantity and flags one below its minimum; it searches by name, SKU and article number, and the filter “Show” separates the price list from the stock items.
Good to know
When an item falls under its minimum or runs out, a to-do appears in “To-dos” under the topic “Stock”.
Archive an item you no longer use from its actions. Only an item without stock moves can be deleted.
