Unmatched payments
Match a payment we could not place to its document, mark it for refund, or resolve it another way.
Step by step
- Open “To-dos”. An unmatched payment shows its amount and variable symbol; choose “Resolve…”.
- The page “Incoming payment” shows the date, the counterparty, the symbols and the message. “Suggested documents” lists open documents the payment may pay, and why we suggest them.
- Choose “Match to …” on the right document, or “Match to another document” and find it by number, customer or symbol.
- In “Match the payment”, check the date, the amount and the variable symbol. “Mark the document paid” turns on when the amount covers what is left. Choose “Match”.
- For a payment that is not yours, choose “Mark for refund”. Then, on the account’s page (under “Bank and cash”, choose “All transactions”), choose “Refund order”, enter the due date and import the downloaded file into your internet banking.
- Close anything else with “Resolved otherwise”. The payment leaves the queue without a document; “Reopen” puts it back.
Good to know
Mark a payment from your payment provider with “My payment provider’s payout”. This payment, those in the queue and every later one from that account are then recorded as transfers.
An outgoing payment can be matched to an unpaid expense, or an expense can be created from it.
