The getting-started guide and Finish setting up
After your first sign-in a guide sets up your account step by step, shows you your first invoice and ends with a surprise. Whatever you skip waits on the Overview.
Step by step
- Sign in for the first time and the guide opens by itself. Until you finish or close it, it opens again at every sign-in, at the step you left.
- Choose your layout and mode: what the menu and the Overview show first. You can change both later in the profile menu.
- Enter your company ID and choose “Look up”: the registry fills in the billing details. Check them, choose your VAT status and the country of seat or residence, confirm you are 18 or older and choose “Create the account”. Creating it accepts the terms of service, the data processing agreement and the privacy notice. This step cannot be skipped.
- Set up the rest, each in a minute: a bank account for your invoices, your logo, the numbering of invoices, an invitation for your accountant and an import from another service. Choose “Set up” for what you want now and “Skip” for the rest.
- Issue your first invoice: the form opens with your details, and once the invoice is issued you come back to the guide. You can skip this step too.
- An owner whose account has the registration offer sees it next, with its prices and its deadline in your time; the offer stays on the Plan page until then. “Not now” moves on.
- The guide ends with a little celebration and, where your plan grants it, a gift of AI extractions, added once.
- Close the guide at any time after your account exists with “Close the guide” at the top. “Finish setting up” on the Overview lists what is left, the skipped steps among them; each opens where you do it, and the card leaves once nothing is left.
Good to know
A person invited to an account takes a shorter path: the layout and mode for that account, then the finish, without the account’s setup, the offer or the gift.
People who had an account before the guide existed do not see it, and accounts you create later start as before, from “Create an account”.
With your consent to measuring, the guide sends Google Analytics one event per step, naming the step and whether you did it or skipped it, under a fixed address that names neither your account nor anything you entered. Change your choice under Learn more, Measuring settings in the profile menu.
