The Managed Payments self-billed invoice

Each month’s Managed Payments sales arrive from commerce as a draft self-billed invoice; complete it from Stripe’s document and issue it.

Step by step

  1. From the 3rd day of each month the previous month’s lines arrive as a draft invoice to Sold through Link, LLC, one line per customer payment or refund with its tax point, currency, amount, ČNB rate and cost centre.
  2. Download Stripe’s self-billed invoice of that month from the Stripe Dashboard and check it: our details and DIČ, Link as the recipient, “vystaveno zákazníkem / Self-billing”, the refunds netted.
  3. Open the draft and, in “Managed Payments self-billing”, enter Stripe’s number, its date of issue and its total with the currency, and choose “Save Stripe’s details”.
  4. Attach Stripe’s PDF among the attachments below the document.
  5. When the total matches commerce’s lines, choose “Issue”. The invoice keeps Stripe’s number and takes no number from your series.

Good to know

A total that differs keeps the draft and adds a to-do; report the error to Stripe.

Should Stripe’s document fall short, turn on “Self-billing opted out” in “Settings” › “Taxes and accounting”: the next import drafts your own invoice to Link in your series, which you issue within 15 days after the month’s end.

The lines land on row 26 of the VAT return in the month of each tax point.

Record Link’s Managed Payments fee and Stripe’s fee documents as expenses: with the supplier Sold through Link, LLC or Stripe the form offers commerce’s fees of the month, “Fill in from commerce’s fees”, and says how much the document differs from them.
